Conflict

Definition of conflict: (things that happened in the book example like the situation that made the family does not get along)

Troy is a type of person that thinks he done everything in live. ”Thinks he’s the best”. Whatever he does and does not turn out right he does not let another person try. Some people might think that, that is being a good father, but it really isn’t. That’s just taking your sons dream away. Not only dreams is separating them but its how Troy acts and respects the family, and that is what makes the family not get along. This family needs to stick together and solve there problems but now that Troy is gone and left all his mistakes behind there is nothing to solve. -Elton

In the play Fences by August Wilson, most of the time there was a conflict they would argue about just anything sometimes. Troy didn’t want his son Cory to play what he wanted which was football. It seemed like Troy was jealous of his son and didn’t want him to achieve his dream. Another conflict was when Troy told Rose that he was going to be daddy, and that was a really big thing that had separated them apart. And when his new born daughter Raynell's mom died (Alberta), because now she had to come live with Troy family. But they accepted her as one of their real family members and after Troy died it had sorta got the family together because they had gotten to bury all the tough things they went through. -Jeaneth
